What is an example of conversational ai?
Chatbotsoftware classification
Chatbots are becoming increasingly popular and are known by a variety of different names: conversational AI bot, AI assistant, intelligent virtual assistant, customer virtual assistant, digital assistant, conversational agent, virtual agent, and conversational interface, among others.
Then there are chatbots built on some of the bot frameworks available on the market. These may offer slightly more advanced features such as slot filling or other simple transactional capabilities, such as taking an order for a pizza.
If voice is used, the chatbot first converts the voice to text, (using Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technology). Text-only chatbots, such as messaging services, skip this step.
The chatbot then analyzes the text, considers the best response and returns it to the user. This response can be reproduced in different ways: written text, voice through text-to-speech (TTS) tools, or perhaps by completing a task.

StoryIAML AI, real conversations with a computer. Carlota Brinquis | July 17, 2021Table of Contents:⟩Calling customer service on the phone is like from 2010. Right now you want to get help quickly and get a clear answer. That’s why chatbots and conversational artificial intelligence are on the march. Well, chatbots have been around for a while now, conversational AI is “the new big thing” and it goes one step further. What is conversational AI?
Conversational AI (or Conversational Artificial Intelligence) ensures that you can conduct simulated conversations with a computer. For the sake of redundancy, because artificial intelligence is so intelligent, it will seem like you are chatting with a person. You will be able to change the subject, out of the blue, and that won’t be a problem. For the user, it’s very easy to use: no complicated interface, no complex instructions. You just have a chat. Even your grandmother can use it.
What makes conversational AI a step further than chatbots is that the conversations are not linear: by grouping topics and making connections between them, they can simulate real conversations. With simple chatbots, you stick to a fixed question structure and you can’t ask difficult questions. That’s why they’re a bit backward. What a chatbot is is basically the bicycle with training wheels, while conversational AI is the modern electric bicycle.
Chatbot
Humans have been using language to communicate, exchange and understand each other for millennia. For us, it is innate to relate to the world through speech, so it was logical to move towards a more natural and effective human-machine communication, wasn’t it?
Conversational AI refers to the set of technologies, messaging apps and speech-based assistants combined with chatbots and callbots that make it possible to automate your company’s communication and create personalized customer experiences.
It is characterized by developing complex conversations through words or phrases, in a non-linear way, detecting intentions, executing complex reasoning tasks and learning from previous conversations, as people do.
Its application allows speech recognition, automatic response to user questions, text summarization, translation to other languages, entity recognition, relationship extraction, sentiment analysis, and text classification.

Instant messaging applications are communication platforms that have allowed us to stay in touch, anytime and anywhere, through our smartphone. Their popularity has led to the development of software capable of automatically performing various tasks. We are talking about conversational artificial intelligence systems and, specifically, virtual assistants, chatbots and programmed bots.
A chatbot is software created so that it can have conversations with users as if it were really human, thanks to the fact that it is equipped with artificial intelligence. Bots have become an indispensable element to foster such interaction between brands and users because they can be able to process natural language and maintain a coherent conversation with a person by being programmed with artificial intelligence and machine learning.
So, if this concept is not new, why are a multitude of bots and chatbots currently being developed? Now, bots are not only capable of executing what has been predefined, but they can learn, improve and adapt to each user thanks to technologies such as artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
