After the critical failure and box office disappointment of Batman and Robin (1997), Warner Bros. decided to reboot the franchise. The trilogy stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as James Gordon, and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. All three films were written and directed by Christopher Nolan.
The film received critical acclaim after its release on July 18, 2008, with a running time of 152 minutes,[13][14][15] and set numerous records during its theatrical run.[16] With over $1 billion in worldwide receipts, it is the 23rd highest grossing film of all time, not adjusted for inflation.[17] The film received eight Oscar nominations; it won Best Sound Editing and Ledger was posthumously awarded Best Supporting Actor.
Here the Joker makes himself known to torment Gotham but Batman this time has the help of politician Harvey Dent and his old friends, but he did not count that the Joker would manage to corrupt Harvey turning him into two faces and would manage to make the city see Batman as the main enemy, both are strong and brilliant but one is crazier and could achieve victory.

Dent, now by an old nickname, “Two-Face,” begins to go after the people responsible for Rachel’s death, deciding their fates by flipping his coin, now with a burnt face immediately divining Rachel’s fate. First, he kills Wuertz, a corrupt cop who had helped kidnap him, and then Maroni (Eric Roberts) (apparently) and his driver after interrogating him to expose the identity of Rachel’s kidnapper. Before killing them, he lets his lucky coin decide the fate of his victims; if heads come up heads he spares their lives, but if tails come up tails (the other side of the coin that burned in the fire) he kills them.

A lieutenant in the Gotham City Police Department and one of the city’s few honest cops, he forms an unofficial alliance with Batman and Dent. He is given the position of Police Commissioner by the city’s mayor following the recent murder of Commissioner Loeb. Oldman described his character as “incorruptible, virtuous, strong, heroic, but underrated.”[36] Nolan explained that “The Long Halloween shows a great triangular relationship between Harvey Dent, Gordon and Batman, and that’s something we rely on quite a bit.”[37] The actor added that the officer “has great admiration for [Batman] at the end, but he’s mostly now the dark knight, the outsider. Now I’m intrigued to see: if there’s a third [film], what’s he going to do?”[37] On the possibility of another sequel, he said, “My returning to it doesn’t depend on whether the role would be bigger than the last one.”[38]

One of the great virtues of ‘The Dark Knight: The Legend Reborn’ is the work of Tom Hardy as the fearsome Bane. It is true that he is not Heath Ledger’s Joker and that his development in the script is not fully satisfactory, but also that his physical presence is impressive and that Hardy manages to show the most imposing side of a villain who had been quite mistreated in ‘Batman and Robin’.
Things change in the final stretch, where everything is more unbalanced, bordering on the ridiculous at times and even giving the feeling of forcing the narrative a bit so that the more optimistic Nolan that hinted at the denouement of ‘Inception’ returns to make an appearance.
That does not mean that in the second half of ‘The Dark Knight: The Legend Reborn’ there are also moments with that epic component -that fight against the clock to save Gotham or the rebirth of Batman after his lowest hours- that the film needs to close the story of the superhero played by Christian Bale. The problem is the alternation of hits and misses that somewhat tarnishes the final result, something that becomes more evident in each revision of it.

The Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department and one of the few honest cops in the city. Oldman said the character’s job of cleaning up Gotham City left him world-weary and a bit bored,[18] comparing the character to a soldier who gets a chance to be on the front lines.[12] His life has taken a turn for the worse since The Dark Knight; his wife left him and took his children, and the mayor plans to fire him. The commissioner feels guilty about his role in covering up Harvey Dent’s crimes to the point that he is prepared to resign his post over it, but refrains from doing so when he senses that Gotham is about to receive a new threat.
A professional thief, con artist and femme fatale who establishes a playfully teasing relationship with the hero that “takes some of the grim out of [Bale’s] character,”[12] going after a “clean slate” computer program so she can erase her criminal record when she crosses paths with both Bruce and Batman. Hathaway auditioned without knowing what role she was being considered for, admitting that she had a character in mind, but only learned the role was Catwoman after speaking with Nolan for an hour.[21] The actress described the role as the most physically demanding she had ever played, and confessed that although she thought she was fit, she had to intensify her efforts in the gym to keep up with the demands of the role. He trained five days a week for the role, including rigorous workouts and stunt training followed by an hour and a half of dance. She explained, “I always thought the goal was thinness, but with this job I also have to be strong.”[22][23][24] She trained extensively in martial arts for the role, and pointed to Hedy Lamarr-who was the inspiration for the character of Catwoman-when developing her performance.[25] She also trained extensively in martial arts for the role, and pointed to Hedy Lamarr-who was the inspiration for the character of Catwoman-when developing her performance.[25] She also had to be strong.
