If you ever got to play the title Command & Conquer which is a real-time strategy game which has several installments. Well, today we are going to talk about an application that will give us the possibility to enjoy this.

OpenRA is 100% free and comes with three different modifications. When you run a mod for the first time, the game can automatically download the resources from the original game, or you can use the original game disks.

Command & Conquer (C&C) es una franquicia de videojuegos de estrategia en tiempo real (RTS), desarrollada por primera vez por Westwood Studios. El primer juego fue uno de los primeros del género RTS, basado a su vez en el influyente juego de estrategia Dune II de Westwood Studios, e introduciendo marcas que siguieron en el resto de la serie. Esto incluye escenas de vídeo en movimiento con un elenco de actores para avanzar en la historia, en lugar de escenas digitales en el juego. Westwood Studios fue adquirido por Electronic Arts en 1998 y cerró en 2003. El estudio y algunos de sus miembros fueron absorbidos por EA Los Ángeles, que continuó el desarrollo de la serie.

Command & Conquer is a real-time strategy video game franchise, originally created by Westwood Studios and later acquired by Electronic Arts. Command & Conquer is considered a landmark and iconic figure in the PC video game industry, and its fan community is extremely active in cooperation with the current license holders.

The original script of Command & Conquer, whose first installment is now known as Tiberian Dawn, bases its plot on the appearance of Tiberium, a substance of extraterrestrial origin that in 1995 infiltrates the planetary ecosystem, mutating it by extracting its resources and concentrating them into crystals that are relatively easy to harvest. Humanity discovers that the substance brought by the meteorite is an important source of raw material, perfect as a source of industrial and energy resources (as wood was in its time).

The remaining 30 percent of the planet comprises what are known as “red zones”, territories located on the equatorial line (notably, the Mediterranean Coast, Central America, the West Coast of the United States, the Amazon Paramo and Central Africa) where the Tiberian infestation is so great that it makes human life impossible. The weather in these regions is virtually apocalyptic, with category 8 hurricanes, tornadoes up to 1700 km/h, radioactive rains. Also in these areas, tiberium has begun to infest the oceans, forming reefs of several square kilometers.
