Movistar Formula 1 began broadcasting on March 12, 2014, when Telefónica buys the rights to the 2014 to 2017 Formula 1 seasons. It also has a version in high definition (HD) Movistar Fórmula1 HD and in UltraHD/4K since October 2018.

A month ago it was announced that DAZN had reached an agreement with Movistar to acquire the rights to broadcast Formula 1 in Spain and to integrate the streaming platform’s content into Movistar’s offer, including MotoGP, the Premier League, Euroleague basketball and boxing.
