I made ‘GOL’ as the first short films should be made, with zero budget, with what you have at hand, with what is known and familiar. Something affordable. I shot it at home, with my homemade camcorder, with no lighting. We rehearsed for an hour, stopped for pizzas, and shot it in just two hours.

After the success of GOL, I decided that if I entered the contest again, I should do it with something completely different. My challenge was to try to tell a drama in three and a half minutes. At that time I was a scriptwriter for Hospital Central. And one of the plots that was written on the board I particularly liked. So I “borrowed” it and used it as a starting point for the short film.
