This 2019 we will not see the Victoria’s Secret angels at the famous annual fashion show. L Brands CFO and executive vice president Stuart Burgdoerfer has been in charge of announcing the cancellation of one of fashion’s most glamorous events. He says the decision was made because they believe “it is important to evolve the marketing” of the brand.
Victoria’s Secret assures that it will continue to actively communicate with its customers through a multitude of vehicles, such as social networks or ads on all platforms, but the annual fashion show that served as a global showcase -where they received equal parts praise and criticism- will pass away for the time being.

Nothing more is known for now about how the lingerie firm will recycle its trademarked proposition, with all the good and bad it means for its image strategy today.
